Olivia Wax, ASLA

Junior Associate

Olivia began her college education studying geology and mathematics at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. Upon discovering landscape architecture, she immediately transferred to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Throughout her tenure at Cal Poly, Olivia distinguished herself by assuming a leadership role on the board of the Student Chapter of ASLA while also dedicating many hours lifeguarding at the university pool.

During Olivia’s time as an undergrad student, she interned at two distinguished engineering firms. These opportunities not only honed her practical skills but also instilled a profound appreciation for collaboration and the importance of integrating landscape design with engineering and architecture. Olivia received her bachelor’s from Cal Poly and is excited to translate what she has learned into practice and leave a mark on the world of landscape architecture.

Olivia’s unique background includes eleven years at Live Oak Waldorf School which offers a holistic education centered around art and creativity. Her knack for plants stems from living part of her childhood on a 40-acre organic farm. In her free time, Olivia can be found immersing herself in creative endeavors, from knitting and reading to sewing, painting, and gardening. She also has recently taken up indoor cycling and loves ocean plunges.

A fun fact about Olivia is that she can solve a 4x4 Rubik’s cube in under two minutes.
